Africa, CAF Confederation Cup - Qualifying Stage

Armed Forces, Chemelil Sugar and Heart of Lions withdrew before the start of competition.

Wankie had been entered by Zimbabwe FA in spite of indicating they would only participate if they won the Unity Cup final. When they lost and declined to enter, ZIFA offered their spot to Motor Action but this was rejected by CAF saying representatives cannot be changed once identified.

APR asked for postponement for 1st leg in 1/8 final, due to genocide commemorations, but failed to inform CAF in time, so tie awarded to Ismaily.

Kaizer Chiefs withdrew before the 1st leg in intermediate round. They have been banned for three years from CAF tournaments.

In intermediate round the 8 winners of the 1/8 finals play the losers of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League for 8 places in the group stage.
