Arsenal Sarandi, Gimnasia Entre Rios, Godoy Cruz (group winners) and Huracan Tres Arroyos, Quilmes, Atletico Rafaela, El Porvenir and Instituto (top 5 teams in the Aggregate table 2001/2002), were qualified for Play off.
Due to the lowest percentage of the gained points in the last three seasons, Central Cordoba and Tigre (the worst 2 teams from Buenos Aires), Independiente Rivadavia and Atletico Tucuman (the worst 2 teams from Interior) and Racing Cordoba, Platense and Villa Mitre, were relegated to 3rd level.
7 clubs were relegated as Primera Nacional B will be reduced to 20 clubs next year.
